Medications
Over-the-counter drugs often contain gluten.
A good approach is to tell your pharmacist that you would like to buy a product but you can't until you know for sure that it is gluten-free, then ask them to check with the manufacturer. The following resources are also helpful:
Herbal supplements and probiotics are frequently contaminated with gluten (See Published Drug Test Results), the safest choice may be to avoid using them at all. If you need to use them, a possibly safe source is Kirkman Labs.

2014: Gluten in Medication: Qualifying the extent of exposure to people with celiac disease and identifying a hidden and preventable cause of an adverse drug event
A selection of drugs were tested and positive results are reported starting on page 13. Three drugs tested positive, the study did not reveal the brand names, but these are either Nyquil, Zoloft and Prilosec or generic equivalents:

- The prescription (Rx) drug sertraline HCl film coated 50 mg tablets
