Beans

Navy beans have a high fiber content (9.6 grams per 1/2 cup serving).  They are higher in fiber than other common beans such as kidney (5.7), pinto (7.7) black (7.5) or Great Northern (6.2) beans. Navy beans can be substituted for other beans for a lower-glycemic recipe.
